Qutu works without accounts and never asks for your name, email or location. Photos you submit are processed by the AI provider needed for the requested edit and automatically removed within 48 hours. OCR and cutout never leave your device.
1. Who we are
FunPixel LLC ("Qutu", "we", "us") operates the Qutu iOS app and the website at funnypixcel.com. For privacy matters, contact [email protected].
2. What we collect
Qutu does not require an account. We never collect your name, email, phone number, location or contacts. We use a small amount of anonymous information needed to run the service — for example, to recognise your device across launches, verify your subscription, and keep the app stable on your iOS version.
When you tap a cloud AI feature (HD restore, text edit, translate, old-photo repair, text sharpen, AI outpaint), the selected photo is uploaded to our processing service over HTTPS and forwarded to the third-party AI sub-processor that handles your request; the result is returned to your device. Both the original and result image are automatically deleted within 48 hours.
Text Extract (OCR) and Smart Cutout run entirely on your iPhone via Apple Vision & Core ML — no image ever leaves your device.
If you purchase a subscription, Apple sends us a signed transaction record so we can verify your entitlement. We never receive your Apple ID, name or payment method.
3. How we use this information
- To provide AI photo editing services you explicitly request.
- To enforce subscription entitlements and free-tier quotas.
- To debug failures and improve service reliability.
- To detect and prevent abuse, fraud and policy violations.
4. AI sub-processors
To deliver the cloud AI edit you request, Qutu forwards your photo to one of the AI providers listed below. We do not sell your data and do not share it with advertisers or analytics brokers.

A single edit reaches only one of these AI vendors — the backend routes by feature and availability. We will publish any change to this list before it takes effect.
Qutu also relies on Apple for App Store subscription billing & receipt validation, and on Cloudflare for website CDN, DNS and edge security. Neither receives your submitted photos.
5. Data retention
Submitted photos and generated results are automatically deleted within 48 hours of upload. Other service data is removed within 30 days of an account-deletion request, except subscription records that we are required to retain for tax and compliance.
6. Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, and withdraw consent at any time by deleting the app. To exercise any of these, follow the steps on our Account & Data Deletion page or email [email protected].
7. Children
Qutu is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used the app, contact us and we will delete the related records.
8. Security
All traffic between the app, our servers and AI providers travels over HTTPS. Subscription transactions are signed by Apple. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.
9. International transfers
The AI sub-processors above primarily process requests in the United States. By using Qutu, you understand your data may be processed in jurisdictions other than your own.
10. Changes
We will update this policy when our practices change. We'll bump the "Effective date" at the top, and for material changes we'll notify you in-app.
