MintSnap™ Support & legal

Privacy Policy

Effective September 23, 2026

In short

MintSnap works without accounts and never asks for your name, email or location. Cards are read on your iPhone first; when a photo has to be sent to identify a card, it is not stored on our servers. Your collection stays on your device.

1. Who we are

FunPixel LLC ("MintSnap", "we", "us") operates the MintSnap iOS app. For privacy matters, contact [email protected].

2. What we collect

MintSnap does not require an account. We never collect your name, email, phone number, location or contacts. We use a small amount of anonymous information needed to run the service — a random app ID stored on your device, basic device details (model, iOS and app version, language and region) and in-app usage events — to count free scans, verify purchases and keep the app stable.

Scanning starts on your iPhone: the set code and card number, or a graded slab's label, are read on-device with Apple Vision. When a card can't be identified that way (for example most sports cards), the photo is uploaded to our server over HTTPS and may be forwarded to the AI sub-processor below to read the printed details. Photos are processed in memory and are not stored on our servers.

Your collection, binders, purchase prices, price alerts and saved card photos are stored only on your iPhone. To show your collection's value over time, the app sends the card IDs and quantities — never your purchase prices or photos.

If you purchase MintSnap Pro, Apple sends us a signed transaction record so we can verify your entitlement. We never receive your Apple ID, name or payment method.

3. How we use this information

  • To identify the cards you scan and show their prices.
  • To enforce MintSnap Pro entitlements and free-scan quotas.
  • To debug failures and improve service reliability.
  • To detect and prevent abuse, fraud and policy violations.

4. AI sub-processors

To identify a card that can't be read on your iPhone, MintSnap forwards the photo to the AI provider listed below. We do not sell your data and do not share it with advertisers or analytics brokers.

We will publish any change to this list before it takes effect.

Card data and prices come from TCGdex, Scryfall and CardSight AI; they receive only the details of the card being looked up, never your photos. Pokémon and Magic card images load directly from TCGdex and Scryfall. MintSnap also relies on Apple for App Store billing and receipt validation, and on Cloudflare for network delivery and security. None of them receives your photos.

5. Data retention

Card photos are not stored on our servers after a scan. Other service data is removed within 30 days of a deletion request, except purchase records that we are required to retain for tax and compliance.

6. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, and withdraw consent at any time by deleting the app. Deleting the app also removes your collection from your iPhone. To make a request, email [email protected].

7. Children

MintSnap is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used the app, contact us and we will delete the related records.

8. Security

All traffic between the app, our servers and AI providers travels over HTTPS. Purchase transactions are signed by Apple. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

9. International transfers

The AI sub-processor above primarily processes requests in the United States. By using MintSnap, you understand your data may be processed in jurisdictions other than your own.

10. Changes

We will update this policy when our practices change. We'll bump the "Effective date" at the top, and for material changes we'll notify you in-app.
